Sheet Music Sound turns scores into audio and video. Even just an image of a score can be transformed into something you can hear.

First, upload a file like a PDF, PNG, JPG, MIDI or MusicXML score. The app reads the score and prepares playback. Then listen. Here is a piano example.

[Piano excerpt: Oats and Beans]

For a score with lyrics, hearing the singing voice is possible with our in-development experimental reference voice. Here’s a saved singing version of the same song, with piano.

We can also represent orchestral scores. Here’s a short string ensemble example.

The final result is an MP4 video that follows the score as the music plays.

Your original score and finished versions stay in the Library. Come back any time to listen again or download your MP4, WAV, MIDI, MusicXML or MXL files whenever you like.

It’s as easy as uploading and watching the result.

  1. Upload

Open a score you found, collected or wrote. A clear image is enough to begin.

  2. Listen

Hear a reference of the music. Adjust the tempo and balance when needed.

  3. Save

Keep the audio, a video that follows the score, or music files for your next step.

Who it’s for.

For the music you’ve found, the music you’re learning, and the music you’re making.

Start with a score. You don’t need to supply a recording.

Explore a piece, hear the parts, and save a reference for rehearsal or a lesson.

Composers

Hear a draft and share a video that follows the score, before asking someone to perform it.

And anyone curious about what’s on the page.

Piano and orchestral instrument sounds are available. Singing for English lyrics is optional, experimental and still under development.

From a score to sound to a finished video.

Sheet Music Sound brings the steps together. Start with the page, generate a listening reference, and keep a video that follows the music.

Before you begin.

Is this a finished performance?

It’s a listening reference to help you discover, learn or develop the music. Recognition can make mistakes, particularly with complex or damaged scores. Original files and saved versions stay in the Library, and you can import corrected MusicXML.

What about the singing voice?

Singing is optional, experimental and currently intended for English lyrics. Pronunciation and clarity vary by piece. It’s a reference voice, not a substitute for a singer. MIDI import currently provides instrumental playback; use a score with aligned lyrics for singing.

What can I save?

A score-following MP4 video, WAV audio, MIDI and MusicXML / MXL, depending on the source and version. Your original file is retained too. You can take the music into notation or audio software for further work.

Can I try it now?

The beta is limited to 10 approved testers. Sign in with ChatGPT to request a place. Each admitted tester gets a private Library. Rendering requires an internet connection; singing takes longer than instrumental playback.
